My stay with Walter had been very pleasant. The room, kitchen and common area is as described, clean, with all the necessities and Walter was always within reach to answer any questions. The public transit bus stop is within a minute walking distance outside his home. The surrounding area has restaurants, a bar, a convenience store and a coffee shop. I would definitely stay with Walter again.

The room was perfect for my needs — a single bed, a usable desk, closet space with some hangers, a decent shower, and nice kitchen area with plenty of fridge space.

Walter is a very nice person and great landlord. Everything was well explained and as said. Location is perfect if you need to be close from McMaster University.

165 Emerson is a great house with a fabulous landlord. He’s an extremely approachable man who does not hesitate to solve any of your problems during your stay. I was very pleased with his response time when there was a problem. The house was extremely clean during my first move in which to me was a big thumbs up. The price is fair for the location of the house and amenities available nearby. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Once again, thank you very much for everything you did during our stay, the place really was spectacular. I have seen enough places in the area and your house is by far the best out there! Keep up the great work!

I enjoyed my stay in 165 Emerson. I felt that landlord did a great job in maintaining the place and attending to tenants’ needs when required. The house was very nicely done, and I think overall it was a very good setting.

I had a great time at Walter’s. I had a nice room with a single bed. Although certain spaces were shared, it felt very private. Walter went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable.

I am Thierry; a student at the Mc Master campus, I had lived at 165 Emerson street from September 2011 to April 2013 and loved every minute of my stay at this location. Walter, the landlord, is a very polite man and he makes himself available to the tenants. When his help is needed, he takes immediate actions. Added to the convenience of being located near the University, 165 Emerson is located in a nice neighborhood, and the house’s atmosphere feels like home. I wish all new tenants to have the same fun and success with their studies that I had while living at 165 Emerson.

Beautiful place renovated by the landlord, nicely maintained he has turned this house into a home! You’ll be lucky to find accommodation like this or an landlord like him.  Walter is an outstanding host, being quick to reply to any issues and always asking if there anything more he can do to keep you happy.  Great location with the bus stop just outside the door and McMaster just down the road. My stay ay 165 Emerson has more than exceeded my expectations!

Great location for McMaster. Walter was very helpful and was there to provide keys and answer questions for a late arrival. Parking worked out well in the driveway. All the basics were well provided for. The other tenants were quiet and everything went smoothly. Shower was great. Would stay there again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at 165 Emerson during the summer of 2015. The house was clean and in good shape and it was nice to have access to a backyard as well. The landlord was friendly and helpful and the neighborhood was safe and close to necessary amenities.

The listing description was accurate, the room I stayed in was in the basement with bathroom & kitchen. Although the room is in the basement, it is nice & clean. I arrived when Walter wasn’t there but he made sure I knew how to get to place, and left keys for me. Next day he stopped by and made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay.

Had an amazing time staying at Walter’s place. The location was perfect as it was walking distance from McMaster University. The bus stop outside also goes to downtown, so going downtown was a breeze. The room I stayed in had an office chair, a fan, a bed, a closet and a desk. Basically everything that I needed. Would definitely come back again!
