Walter is a very nice person and great landlord. Everything was well explained and as said. Location is perfect if you need to be close from McMaster University.

Room is exactly what was advertised and close to McMaster campus!

165 Emerson is a great house with a fabulous landlord. He’s an extremely approachable man who does not hesitate to solve any of your problems during your stay. I was very pleased with his response time when there was a problem. The house was extremely clean during my first move in which to me was a big thumbs up. The price is fair for the location of the house and amenities available nearby. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

The room was perfect for my needs — a single bed, a usable desk, closet space with some hangers, a decent shower, and nice kitchen area with plenty of fridge space.

My stay with Walter had been very pleasant. The room, kitchen and common area is as described, clean, with all the necessities and Walter was always within reach to answer any questions. The public transit bus stop is within a minute walking distance outside his home. The surrounding area has restaurants, a bar, a convenience store and a coffee shop. I would definitely stay with Walter again.

Nice house very close to McMaster University.

We think our stay at 165 Emerson Street was perfect. There was a lot of details that made our life easier. There was no problem regarding humidity and insulation. It was clean, and we really enjoyed life there.

I am Thierry; a student at the Mc Master campus, I had lived at 165 Emerson street from September 2011 to April 2013 and loved every minute of my stay at this location. Walter, the landlord, is a very polite man and he makes himself available to the tenants. When his help is needed, he takes immediate actions. Added to the convenience of being located near the University, 165 Emerson is located in a nice neighborhood, and the house’s atmosphere feels like home. I wish all new tenants to have the same fun and success with their studies that I had while living at 165 Emerson.

The house is bigger than it looks on the outside, it has 8 bedrooms spread over 2 floors (each floor has its own bathroom and kitchen). I believe the rooms on the main floor are a bit more expensive but I would say its definitely worth it. My room was nice, enough space and view on the back yard. I also appreciated was the house’s location: if you’re studying at McMaster you can easily walk to campus or otherwise take the bus that stops right before the front door. Hamilton’s city center is also close by bus. Another plus is the convenience store that opened just across the street before I left — great people and yummy subs!

A comfortable room, close to campus and well communicated. A quiet house with everything needed for any type of stay, with kitchen, washing machine, etc.

Landlord is very nice and helpful. I will definitely consider staying with this accommodation in the future.

Had an amazing time staying at Walter’s place. The location was perfect as it was walking distance from McMaster University. The bus stop outside also goes to downtown, so going downtown was a breeze. The room I stayed in had an office chair, a fan, a bed, a closet and a desk. Basically everything that I needed. Would definitely come back again!

Great landlord, readily available when needed.

Beautiful place renovated by the landlord, nicely maintained he has turned this house into a home! You’ll be lucky to find accommodation like this or an landlord like him.  Walter is an outstanding host, being quick to reply to any issues and always asking if there anything more he can do to keep you happy.  Great location with the bus stop just outside the door and McMaster just down the road. My stay ay 165 Emerson has more than exceeded my expectations!

Walter is a great host. He’s very friendly and helpful (he even picked me up from the train station when I couldn’t figure out the transport in Hamilton ;), and the place was very nice and really close to McMaster. Fully recommended!
